Born in 1944 to Hungarian parents, Claude-Michel Schönberg began his career in France as a singer, writer and producer of pop songs.
In collaboration with Alain Boublil, he is the book co-writer and the composer of La Révolution Française, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre and The Pirate Queen. In 2008, his musical Marguerite, in collaboration with Alain Boublil, Michel Legrand and Herbert Kretzmer, opened at the Haymarket Theatre in London.
Schönberg has supervised overseas productions and co-produced several international cast albums of his shows. In 2001, he composed his first ballet score, Wuthering Heights, which was created by the Northern Ballet in 2002. His ballet Cleopatra, which opened in 2011, was his second collaboration with David Nixon and his seventh complete score. In 2012, Schönberg co-wrote the screenplay and reconceived the music for the Les Misérables musical movie.
His shows have won many awards over the years, most recently the WhatsonStage audience awards for Best West End Show and Best Musical Revival for the London production of Miss Saigon. Golden Globe winner, Oscar nominee and Grammy Award winner for his outstanding contribution to the creative community, Schönberg and Alain Boublil were honoured at a New York Pops gala concert in Carnegie Hall celebrating their 40-year collaboration.
Schönberg was appointed Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford University and is now an Emeritus Fellow. He is an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Music where he is a guest Professor. Schönberg married the English ballerina, Charlotte Talbot, in 2003. He is the father of one son and two daughters.

Bob began his professional career as a dancer and was in more than a dozen Broadway shows including West Side Story, Funny Girl and Henry, Sweet Henry.He then became an integral part of every Michael Bennett production for the next 20 years, working as Associate Choreographer and Assistant Director on productions including Promises, Promises, Coco, Company, Follies, Twigs, Seesaw and God’s Favorite. In 1976 he received his first Tony Award as co-choreographer of A Chorus Line and won his next Tony Award for co-choreographing Ballroom as well as serving as producer. He was also a lead producer on the original and national companies of Dreamgirls, the acclaimed musical which won six Tony Awards.He next choreographed the London premiere of Follies and then created the musical staging for Miss Saigon, both for producer Cameron Mackintosh.He did the musical staging for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard both in London and on Broadway, receiving his sixth Tony nomination.Next came the Boublil and Schönberg musical Martin Guerre in London for which he received the prestigious Olivier Award for Best Choreography. Bob also choreographed Stephen Sondheim’s Putting it Together off-Broadway at the Manhattan Theatre Club starring Julie Andrews and then on Broadway starring Carol Burnett.Returning to London, he choreographed The Witches of Eastwick in the West End starring Ian McShane.He came back to Broadway where he directed the 2006 hit revival of A Chorus Line and starred in the documentary Every Little Step which followed the audition process of that production.He also directed the London revival of A Chorus Line at the Palladium in 2013 followed by productions at the Hollywood Bowl and New York’s City Center in 2018.In 2020, his memoir Dancing Man: A Broadway Choreographer’s Journey was published by University Press of Mississippi.
Alain Boublil is the author of the librettos and lyrics for the musicals La Révolution Française (celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year!), Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, and The Pirate Queen, all in collaboration with Claude-Michel Schönberg, as well as Marguerite with music by Michel Legrand. He also co-produced the original cast albums of all his shows. He co-wrote the screenplay of the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated film, Les Misérables. He is the author/lyricist of Abbacadabra, a fairy tale musical including ABBA classic songs, of the stage adaptation of the Demy/Legrand film, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, as well as author of the musical play, Manhattan Parisienne, and the play, The Diary of Adam and Eve. He wrote a prize-winning French novel, Les dessous de soi.
His many awards include two Tonys, two Grammys, two Victoire de la Musique and a Molière Award for Les Misérables as well as an Evening Standard Drama Award for Miss Saigon, a Laurence Olivier Award for Martin Guerre and a New York Chapter Honors Grammy for his outstanding contribution to the creative community. Boublil and Schӧnberg’s 40 plus year collaboration was celebrated in May 2016 at Carnegie Hall as honourees of the New York Pops’ 33rd Birthday Gala. Alain devised and is the executive producer of the Do You Hear The People Sing? concerts, a symphonic promenade through Boublil and Schönberg musical history, which played sold out concerts in Melbourne Arts Centre and the Sydney Opera House last September/October. He is long married to singer, actress, director, Marie Zamora, the Paris Cosette, and is the father of four sons.
Geoffrey trained at the Bird College of Performing Arts. He has worked extensively in musical theatre as a performer and choreographer.
Geoff’s work includes musical staging for Les Misérables for the West End production at the Sondheim Theatre, the Broadway revival (Imperial Theatre, New York) which opened in Toronto, as well as the UK and Ireland national tour. Geoff has also worked on Les Misérables in Australia, Dubai, Manila, Japan, Korea and the USA national tour, as well as on Les Misérables The Staged Concert in London at both the Gielgud Theatre and Sondheim Theatre. Geoff’s other recent work includes Associate Choreographer for the revival of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward and Additional Choreography for the West End revival of Miss Saigon (Prince Edward), which transferred to Broadway (Landmark Theatre, New York).
Geoff has worked as Associate Choreographer on Mary Poppins since the original West End production and subsequently on Broadway, the USA and UK national tours, Holland, Australia, Tokyo, Mexico and in Brazil. He has worked as Associate Choreographer on Oliver! at The London Palladium, the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London, on the UK and USA national tours, Holland, Australia and Toronto, and as Additional Choreographer for productions of Miss Saigon in Vienna, Japan, Holland, Australia, Korea, Brazil and the UK tour.

Michael Mahler is the Chicago-based composer/lyricist of An American Tail, My Little Pony: A New Generation, The Secret of My Success, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, October Sky, Miracle, Hero, and others. He served as premiere English lyricist for Boublil & Schönberg's La Revolution Française and contributed lyrics to Russell Watson's album Only One Man. Michael’s work is available through MTI, Broadway Licensing, and Dramatic Publishing.
William “Bill” Brohn, was one of musical theatre’s top orchestrators, who worked on dozens of West End and Broadway shows and won a Tony in 1998 for Ragtime, Bill collaborated 11 times over nearly 30 years as orchestrator for his favourite producer Cameron Mackintosh, from Miss Saigon in 1989 to the 2017 West End revival of Half a Sixpence.
Orchestrators determine the flavour of a musical’s score by assigning the instruments and deciding which ones the musicians will play and when.Bill recalled in in an essay in “The Alchemy of Theatre” (2006), that he cried when Claude-Michel Schönberg sang songs in French from Miss Saigon.

Matt graduated from the Motley Theatre Design course in 1994 and spent the next decade working at the National Theatre in London, as a designer, associate and draughtsman. Matt left to work within commercial theatre, developing many large productions and also adapting them for tour. As part of a long working partnership with Cameron Mackintosh, Matt initially adapted the original versions of My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins and The Phantom of the Opera as well as co-designing the recent international productions of Miss Saigon. In 2009, he was invited to redesign Les Misérables for its 25th anniversary production as a UK tour. The success of the new staging has seen subsequent productions and tours across the world alongside presentations on Broadway and the new West End show at the Sondheim. Matt also designed the 25th anniversary concerts of Les Misérables at the O2 Arena and The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall as well as the recent Les Misérables concerts at the Gielgud and Sondheim theatres. Matt also designs a wide variety and scale of productions both in the UK and internationally with a long history of developing large scale musical theatre in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Totie has spent the last 25 years working on numerous stage designs for the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Donmar Warehouse, Theatre de Complicite, Glynedebourne, and London’s West End. She is a Senior Lecturer on the Design for Theatre and Live Performance course at Nottingham Trent University. She was nominated for the VC’s award for excellence in Professional Practice. Totie works to Theatre Green Book principles, to educate and promote sustainability in theatre making.
For Cameron Mackintosh Totie created stage designs for a UK tour of Oliver!, after productions in Ghent and Antwerp. Totie also created stage designs for a UK touring production of Miss Saigon in 2002 and has since toured Korea, Australia, Japan, Brazil and Utrecht in the Netherlands. For the 2014 return to the West End she collaborated with Matt Kinley Winning 2015 ‘What’s on Stage’ Best Set Design. In 2018 Matt and Totie launched Miss Saigon at the Broadway Theatre New York subsequently turning into a US tour, plus a production in Vienna during the pandemic.
Adrian studied design at the Slade School. He was house designer at London’s Mermaid Theatre 1964-1970, house designer at Leicester Phoenix and subsequently at the Haymarket 1971-1980. He designed many productions during this time, some of which transferred to the West End, including My Fair Lady, Cause Célèbre and Tomfoolery. He was house designer at the Old Vic 1980-1982, where his credits included The Merchant of Venice and The Relapse.
Adrian began working in Israel in 1968, designing productions for the Habimah, Cameri, Haifa and Jerusalem Theatres. His association with Sobol began with original productions of Weininger’s Night, Ghetto, Palestinian Girl, Adam, Jerusalem Syndrome and Nice Toni. This association led to his working in Germany and the USA. Many of these productions raised highly controversial issues, both political and social, such as the ‘great silence’ surrounding discussions of the Holocaust and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. From 2000 Adrian worked on designs for USA and UK tours of Miss Saigon and Oliver! for Cameron Mackintosh and his associates.
Internationally renowned costume designer Andy Neofitou’s highly acclaimed work for the Royal Shakespeare Company over many years led to her outstanding success with Les Miserables directed by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, and her beautifully researched and detailed costumes won her a coveted Tony Award Nomination on Broadway. Andy continued to work on the show since its ‘re-conception’ in 2009, the 25th Anniversary performance at London’s 02 Arena in 2010, and subsequent productions and tours in the UK, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan and Europe – all as the London production continues its record-breaking run in the West End. Her costumes for Miss Saigon first directed by NicholasHytner at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, have gone on to become another huge and continuing international hit.
Andy’s other costume designs in London and the West End include the highly successful Greasewhich began lifeat the Dominion Theatre, went on to the Piccadilly Theatre and a long running tour of the UK and Europe, Gone With The Windand The Baker’s Wife both directed by Trevor Nunn, The Far Pavilions, Timon Of Athens at the Young Vic with David Suchet in the title role, also directed by Trevor Nunn, Peter Pan at the Royal National Theatre directed by John Caird, and the arena production of Bizet’s opera Carmen at The Royal Albert Hall.
Among Andy’s many international credits are Nabucco directed by Elijah Moshinsky for New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Miss Julie in Athens, the musical Jane Eyre directed by John Caird on Broadway - for which she received an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination - and Cameron Mackintosh’s revised version of Martin Guerre also in the United States.
Her designs for the Royal Shakespeare Company include The Changeling directed by Michael Attenborough, Bill Alexander’s production of The Merchant Of Venice with Antony Sher, and Fair Maid Of The West directed by Trevor Nunn which was the inaugural production at the Swan Theatre at Stratford and later transferred to the Mermaid Theatre in London.She designed the costumes for Hedda Gabler with Glenda Jackson at the Aldwych, in Canada and the USA; Once In A Lifetime at the Aldwych and the Piccadilly; Peter Pan which enjoyed three separate runs at the Barbican, and Nicholas Nickleby at Stratford and in the United States winning the Outer Circle Critics’ Award for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design.

He has won a Green Room Award for Rusalka at the Sydney Opera House and three Knight of Illumination Awards for Björk’s Cornucopia, Sigur Rós; World Tour and Frankenstein at The National Theatre (also Olivier Award for Best Lighting). Nic studied at The Central School of Speech and Drama in London gaining a BA Honours in Theatre Sound. He started his career as a sound mixer, including CML’s My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins, Marguerite and Mamma Mia!. His association with Mick Potter started as the mixer on the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Misérables and was involved in the 25th Anniversary Concert (O2 Arena, London). For Mick, he has mixed The Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz, Miss Saigon, Half A Sixpence, The Light in The Piazza at the Royal Festival Hall, and Sunset Boulevard, Carousel and Chess at the London Coliseum. Nic is Associate Designer for Mick Potter on Miss Saigon, with previous productions in Japan and Vienna. Also, for Mick, Nic is Associate Designer for Les Misérables worldwide including productions in London, Spain, South Korea, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo, São Paulo, Mexico City, US Tour, UK / European Tour and Holland & Belgium Tour; for The Phantom of the Opera worldwide including productions in London, New York, Sydney, Oberhausen, Stockholm, São Paulo, Copenhagen, World Tour, UK / Ireland Tour, South Korea and China; and for Sondheim’s Old Friends in London.
In 1992, Shelly graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Electronic Engineering, during which she commenced her now 32 year career in theatrical sound, initially as a Radio Mic Technician.With a background in classical singing, Shelly’s musical sensibilities lead her to mixing local and international productions such as Cats, Westside Story and Les Misérables regularly touring throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Shelly also spent time in London working for the highly reputable "Autograph Sound Recording" mixing on the Westend.
Since then, Shelly has been Sound Supervisor, Associate Designer or Sound Designer on numerous local and International Productions which include The Sound of Music (Australia), Miss Saigon (Manilla, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia/NZ, and World Tour) , Les Misérables(Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo & Mexico, Australia, NZ, Asia), Cats(South Africa, Beirut, World Tour, Korean Tent Tour), Oliver!(Sydney, USA Tour, Japan), The Witches of Eastwick (Australia), The Phantom of the Opera (Asia, South Africa, NZ, Australia), Sunset Boulevard (Australia), Billy Elliot (Australia), Love Never Dies (Australia, Japan), King Kong (Melbourne), Kinky Boots (Australia), Beautiful(Australia), School of Rock (Australia, China) and recently The Phantom of the Opera (Sydney Opera House, Melbourne). The foray back into the world of Miss Saigon follows from a 10-year history with the show in Korea, Australia and Brazil.
As an associate designer for Cameron Mackintosh, David has delivered The Phantom of the Opera at the Sydney Opera House, Miss Saigon in Vienna, Old Friends – the Stephen Sondheim Gala in the West End, Oliver! in Tokyo and The Phantom of the Opera and the Les Misérables Staged Concertin the West End, The Phantom of the Opera UK Tour and revived West End productions of Les Misérables and Hamilton, Miss Saigon in the West End and UK tour, Les Misérables as a UK Tour, US Tour, and in Tokyo, Mexico, São Paulo, Singapore, Manila, Seoul, Daegu and Half a Sixpence at Chichester Festival Theatre and the West End.
Other associate roles includeTwelve Angry Men at the Birmingham Rep and the West End, Annie and Man of la Mancha in São Paulo and Rio.
As an assistant, he has worked on over forty theatre productions including Barnum, Funny Girl, Chaplin The Musical, Noises Off, Sister Act, No Man’s Land and Oliver!
David’s recent designs include The Wild Party and City of Angels for the Royal Academy of Music, The Sound of Music at Teatro Renault São Paulo, and City of Arts Rio de Janeiro,This is the Hour (a showcase of Claude-Michel Schönberg’s songs) at Royal Academy of Music, Hardboiled, (nominated for an Offie Award for Best Design) David Copperfield, and Writer’s Block for The Watermill Theatre, Idiot-Syncracy, Bilbao, and Tame Game and City, for Bloom Dance, which have toured internationally.
Outside of theatre, David has designed a coffee shop within a Wren church in the City of London, and the restaurant Deli Ohio in Canton, Ohio and an immersive exhibition of robotics in medicine in London.
Lee is Associate Costume Designer for the 2023 re-imagined version of Wicked in Brazil for Instituto Artium de Cultura, the 2022 UK tour and Australian production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for Michael Harrison Entertainment and TML Enterprises, the returning production of Miss Saigon in Tokyo and in Vienna in 2022, and the upcoming production in Australia.

Theresa's international theatre career spans more than two decades. As well as extensive work in the US, she has worked in Europe, Asia and Australia.
Most recently, she had the dual role of Resident Director and Dance Supervisor of the Abu Dhabi season of the International Tour of The Lion King (Michael Cassel Group). Other resident credits include Resident Dance Supervisor of the Australian and International Tours of The Lion King (Disney Theatrical and Michael Cassel Group, respectively). Theresa has staged countless media and press events for Disney Theatrical (The Lion King, Frozen).
As a performer she has appeared on some of the world's most prestigious stages including Radio City Music Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Kennedy Center, and has performed featured dance roles in Cats, Saturday Night Fever, South Pacific, and The Lion King on Broadway. Her television credits include The Emmy Awards and Dancing with The Stars. Theresa has had the privilege of performing the original choreography of dance greats: Jerome Robbins' West Side Story, Gillian Lynne's Cats, Garth Fagan's Lion King, and understands the responsibility of her role as resident to maintain the integrity of the original direction and choreography.
Theresa hails from Boston, Massachusetts, and is a child of the first wave of Vietnamese refugees seeking a new life in the United States. As a first generation Vietnamese-American, Miss Saigon holds a special place in Theresa's heart.
Alfonso is an established freelance musical director and musical supervisor in the West End who is regularly invited by major orchestras in the UK and abroad.
As a freelance professional his work includes musical direction of music for film, television and games, (recent works include Jingle Jangle, Christmas Chronicles 2, Thunder Force, Halo, The Croods 2, Jurassic World: Dominion, Nightmare Alley…etc) musical theatre, symphonic, musical production... as well as composing for games, advertising and film.

As a composer, Alfonso has composed the music for the feature films Venus,andHéroes de Barrio, as well as jingles for Disney, Nickelodeon, advertising companies etc.His work in Film and TV includes the translation and direction of many Disney shows in Spanish (Tangled, Fancy Nancy, TOPS, Mira Royal Detective, Gigantosaurus, Phineas and Ferb, Spongbob Square pants… etc)
He started conducting professional shows at the age of 20 in Madrid, and since then he has conducted and supervised shows in Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, United Emirates, Germany, China, Brazil… etc.

He recorded an all Spanish classical music album with the BBCCO in January 2018 alongside soloists Juan Pérez and Magdalena Llamas and he conducted this orchestra again in August 2018 for “Friday night is music night”.

Guy Simpson has been working as a Conductor, Orchestrator, Musical Director and Musical Supervisor for almost 45 years.
He has been involved with Miss Saigon for 35 years - starting as the audition pianist in 1988 on the search for the original Kim for the London production. He then went on to become the Musical Director of the show in Australia in 1995 and again in 2007. He has also conducted or supervised productions in Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brazil, Seoul, The Netherlands and Japan.
Guy’s work on The Phantom of the Opera began in Australia in 1990. He has conducted or supervised productions in Auckland, Cape Town, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Brazil, Manila, Bangkok, Singapore, Guangzhou, Beijing and Seoul.
Last year he conducted The Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour and was Musical Supervisor of the show at the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne for Opera Australia.
For Opera Australia he was Musical Director and Supervisor of Evita (starring Tina Arena), the 60th anniversary production of My Fair Lady (directed by Julie Andrews) and West Side Story (on the Sydney Harbour). He was Musical Supervisor of Cinderella.

Prior to this, he co-directed Les Misérables: The Staged Concert which played at the Gielgud and then Sondheim Theatre in the West End; the production was streamed into cinemas worldwide, as well as being recorded and released on DVD. Other credits include directing Porgy and Bess for Grange Park Opera, The Dreamers at Abbey Rd studios, The UK and International tour of Miss Saigon (based on Laurence Connor’s production), Oliver! (Grange Park Opera), Barnum (UK Tour).
